Spend a few days of your Lake Lure getaway vacation sunbathing and swimming at the Lake Lure Beach. The beach is surrounded by Blue Ridge Mtn. scenery that abounds all around the lake and features all of life's greatest simple pleasures. Sun, water, and plenty of great sand await you. Bring a picnic to enjoy while you are hanging out on the beach. The Lake Lure Beach is great for families and couples. Admission for adults, seniors and children from ages 4 to 12 years old are quite affordable, all less than $10 a piece. Children under 4 must be accompanied by an adult and are free. You can also get free admission for one non-swimming adult per family or group to supervise the swimming children in the group. Groups of 20 or more get $1 off of admission. No pets are allowed on the beach. You can rent a picnic table at the Pool Creek Meadows Picnic Area for $50 per hour. The beach and water park are open from Memorial Day thru Labor Day from 10am to 6 pm, weather permitting. There is a lifeguard on duty at the Lake Lure Beach area.
Adjacent to the Lake Lure Beach is the tiny little Lake Lure Water Park. Children seem to flock to this location which features soaking games, a water slide and other cute attractions. Admission to the water park is included in the affordable Lake Lure Beach admission. The minimum height to use the water slide is 45 inches.
